PEAK Productions (PEAK) is a work experience
program funded by the Sandusky County Department
of Job and Family Services (SCDJFS) through a
contract with SANDCO Industries of Sandusky
County. The program is the outgrowth of
businesses throughout Sandusky County reporting
serious difficulty in finding new employees that
will be productive and stay on the job. As a
result, PEAK Productions was established to
train and evaluate participants in proper work
ethics and manufacturing skills. |
|
Purpose |
|
PEAK Productions is
ideally a three to six month program in which
public assistance recipients are to fulfill
hours of participation to maintain eligibility
for benefits. Participants are not employees of
either SCDJFS or SANDCO Industries. During their
time spent at PEAK, participants are encouraged
to learn production skills and to develop
responsible work habits. Individuals who
demonstrate responsible work attitudes will be
referred for jobs with local employers.
Individuals who fail to act responsibly or who
refuse to participate may be dismissed from the
program and lose their benefits. |
