SANDCO Workforce Solutions
Description

Our professional staff strives to maximize the strengths, interests and choices of the individual while minimizing identified barriers. 

Sandco Workforce Solutions goal is to improve the quality of life for the individuals we serve through vocational and employment opportunities.  The on going development of employer contacts and job sites occurs on a continual/on going basis.

Job Placement Plan:
A job placement plan will be implemented that centers on the individual’s wants and needs. Professional services and resources will assess the individual’s abilities and work through any barriers that may arise through job development and placement. A comprehensive set of documentation forms will be utilized to assure professional services are submitted within a specific time period.  These services are available to individuals determined eligible by Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission.

Vocational Evaluation:
A comprehensive report will be completed by a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Completed report will include but not limited to: outcome measurement, employability, perceived barriers, strengths, job matching information, composite scores and recommendations. 

Career Exploration:
The Person Served will observe actual employment opportunities of interest. 

Community Based Assessment:
The Person Seeking employment will participate in paid work experience employment opportunities on actual job sites, in some instances, be employed directly by the employer(s) but will determine your work-related abilities, interests, and behaviors.  A Job Coach will be assigned to conduct the job assessment with no fading.  

Job Seeker Skills Training:
Those skills needed to obtain employment will be developed with the person being served.  These skill areas include, but are not limited to Resume Development, Conducting a Job Search, Completing Employment related forms, and Interviewing.

Job Development & Placement:
This service is to assist the individual being served in choosing, obtaining, and maintaining a job that is right for them.  These opportunities should reflect their vocational interest and abilities.  This may include resume-writing, job seeking skills training, and job searching.

Job Coaching:
The Job coach will assist the person being served with learning job duties at the actual employment setting, on a one to one basis.  The Job Coach will also assist the individual with developing relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, and when applicable, customers.  Systematic fading of the amount of assistance needed in maintaining employment is the objective of the Job Coach.

Job Retention/Follow Along:
This service is designed to enhance the quality of the employment opportunity for the Person Served.  This is accomplished through continual or as needed follow up with the individual and the employer to ensure satisfaction.  Initiation of corrective action such as job restructuring and additional training may be needed.

Personal Adjustment:
Professional staff will meet with the individual to identify the following: employment strengths and barriers, desired vocational outcomes, problem-solving, hygiene, personal appearance, money management, and using transportation.  One to one training will be provided while pursuing individual outcomes.

Transportation:
This may be provided, as needed, to successfully obtain the objectives of the Menu of Services provided by Sandco Workforce Solutions.
